Dear all,

We are currently running Oracle 817.64, two weeks ago we had a problem =
with our production database and had to recover. After restoring all the =
files, we did the following:

1) svrmgrl
2) connect internal
3)> startup mount
recover database until '2005-06-23:11:15:00'; ( since the problem
occurred around 11:20:, we decided to recover until 11:15)
>recovery complete.
4)> alter database open resetlogs;
> statement processed.
The problem is that the database was not recovered until that point in
time. it was recovered until the previous night 2005-06-22 at 10PM.
What happened with those transactions entered on 2005-06-23 between
8:00AM and 11:15:00AM?
There were three logs generated on 06-23:
-rw-r----- 1 ora dba 20970496 Jun 23 09:17 arch_30698.dbf
-rw-r----- 1 ora dba 20972544 Jun 23 10:43 arch_30699.dbf
-rw-r----- 1 ora dba 20972544 Jun 23 11:32 arch_30700.dbf
-rw-r----- 1 ora dba 20972544 Jun 23 11:45 arch_30701.dbf
Is anyone familiar with this issue? We submitted a Tar, but have not
had a good explanation from Oracle.
