Hello Fellow LazyDBA's,



I am running an Oracle 10g database on Windows 2003 Server with
approximately 400 users, and have separate Oracle and Windows (another 2003
Server) accounts for each user.

This is getting harder and harder to manage, and I'm sure there must be a
way for Oracle to authenticate users through Windows (Active Directory)?



From my initial investigations on the Oracle OTN & Metalink sites, it looks
like you have to install Oracle 10g Application server, including OID.



Having no experience in Oracle AS, I'm finding this a little daunting. Does
anyone have any tips or instructions that might help set me on the way to
Single Sign-On nirvana?
