Have you checked for errors in the log that is being created by your listener. If you will check the status of your listener it will show you where the logs are being created (unix). Normally, listener log is put in the network/log/ directory, or that is where I have mine at least.

Subject: RE TNS Listener
Hi everyone
My TNS Listener keep going down. Has anyone had this problem before. Could be be
related to the opening of too many connections on ORACLE.
Regards
Simion
