Hi All,

I am trying to upload a fixed format file using forms6i text_io package.Some
of the fields are coming as thai characters.So to upload these characters i
changed the nls_lang parameter in 9ias to UTF8.

But when i am trying to read this file the positioning is getting changed if
the line contains thai charcters.For english no ther is problem.For e.g.

D000004025256001507116082005082734?.?.?. ??????? ?????????
999002206866 56380

After Reading using TEXT_IO, we are using varchar2 field to store the above
line.

D000004025256001507116082005082734?.?.?. ??????? ?????????
999002206866 56380
05510000CCSH00000000000000818000


Here Data 999002206866 is shifted to left.

We are using 9ias and OS is HP Unix.Database is already UTF8.
