RE: Control files on separate slices if Raid 5

I would only use raid-5 if I didn't care about performance...

Subject: Control files on separate slices if Raid 5

We have a server set up with RAID 5.
So every new slice is added to /dev/vg00 And failure is keep to almost
none existent.

Now I know from the past, that your control files should be on separate
slices. What we want to do now is just create one slice and load
everything under there.

/opt/app/oracle/oradata/newdb
And in newdb will contain the 3 control files, db, etc...

Thanks.
