That's fine, and we have other ways also like through task manager and '
lsnrctl status' etc,. But what we are looking at is a command (just like
in Unix) which would enumerate(output) the number of instances so that
the command can be embedded in a program.

Subject: Instances on Windows 2000 !!!!!!!!!!
Hi Folks,
Is there any way to know as to how many instances are (SID) there
(running or shutdown) on a windows 2000 box?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
