I thought so as you can't change the block any other way on the front
page of the wizard as it is grayed out.
So that means you are going for one of the predefined templates as well,
I suspect that these are actually going to copy a pre-built database
image with a fixed block size so it will get so far and then fail.
I tried it a few times as I thought it would be a quick way to create a
database but in the end I used a set of scripts to create the database I
wanted, even though it took ages to run all the script it got me the
database block size I wanted. Using scripts also means it is easy to
reuse/modify these later as I need to create new databases fairly
regularly.
You should be able to go the custom route as well although I haven't
tried it for a long time.

Mike

Subject: Db_Block_Size(Urgent)
Hi Gurus,
Iam creating a database in Oracle 9i Release(9.0.1.0.1) . In this
Block Size(default) is of 4 Mb. So when i use this the database is
created succesfully.
But when I Change the db_block_size = 8 Mb . . It fails in creating
a database.
Why is this so?
Thank you in Advance
Regards
