Hi J.Venugopal,
seemed so, that you have more than one oracle installation on your system. Check your path-variable , which installation stands first in the path. You can change path-variable in XP System settings. Put Oracle 10 at first in your path.

Betreff: version problem in oracle10g
Hi all,
I have installed oracle10g database on windowsXP , and its working fine.
But when I am typing "sqlplus /nolog" in command window it is giving message as follows:
SQL*Plus: Release 9.0.1.4.0 - production on thu Oct 27
Also I am able to connect to databases in the same system and other system but if I give tnsping it is giving error message:
What might be the problem.
