Just remove the init parameter from your init.ora file then restart your DB

Hello Gurus,
When I try to start the database in Solaris i get the following error Oracle
version 8.1.7.4

ORA-25138: DISTRIBUTED_TRANSACTIONS initialization parameter has been made
obsolete ORACLE instance started.

Total System Global Area 150885288 bytes
Fixed Size 455592 bytes
Variable Size 109051904 bytes
Database Buffers 40960000 bytes
Redo Buffers 417792 bytes
ORA-00205: error in identifying controlfile, check alert log for more info.

Please can anyone help me on this issue its very urgent
