Antwort: Alter table move

Hi marc-olivierm,

we moved all our tables (except those with 'LONG' columns) to locally
managed tablespaces, not running into any problem.

If you are afraid, you could still copy the table from a to b, delete a
and rename b to a.

regards,

achim

Thema: Alter table move

Hi,

I'd like to know if an Alter table move can cause unavailability on a
database.
What if i move a table on another tablespace ?
Can you confirm this command will remove fragmentation on my tables (yes
i'm still using dictionnary managed tablespaces...)
Do you know if migrating from a dictionnay managed tablespace to a
localy managed tablespace can cause unavailability ?

Thanks for your help :))
