We have done a complete exercise on this.

We have our DB on oracle 8.1.6 on solaris OS. For which we have taken the
schema wise export using 8.1.6 export utility and then imported the same in
oracle 10g on solaris 8. All the activity was done according to the
checklist we have prepared.

No problems and issues were faced.
