RE: Control-M

RE: Control-M

At my former fortune 500 company, we used CA:Autosys for our scheduling. It was Sybase server based, and was functional for what we wanted to accomplish. They have since switched $Universe from Orsyp. $Universe does not use a DBMS, but the plus is that processing is done on each client, as opposed to the Sybase server. It's integrated with the HP Openview, and supports a master console to view what is happening with the remote clients. If you are an Oracle shop, I'd look at Appworx.com, as they use Oracle as their DBMS of choice. We evaluated Control-M, but it was not as robust or user friendly as the other products I've mentioned.

Subject: Control-M

Hi All,

I am looking for the pros and cons of Control-M against any other
scheduling tool be it with in Oracle or not. Any input will be of great
help.

Thanks
