Ben,

Try (in case you did not), regranting SYSDBA to the user you already
added to the password file, and try again.

Hi Henry,

Yes, am sure dba is the Oracle group, just did an id and that is what it
shows ...

I have the password file so I can connect via my Windows Client PC while
am sorting out how to use OS logins stuff ...

BTW, off-topic, know of anyone who may be interested to hire an
Oracle/SQLServer DBA. If NO, can I send my CV to you nonetheless and if
you can please pass it on to anyone who may be interested to hire one
and willing to sponsor. Am currently in the Green Card Lottery but not
sure if I'll win it though .... Also, at the moment, trying to write a
warm and emotional letter to Oprah if she will be willing to sponsor my
son to The Options Institute Son-Rise Program .... :-) Wish me luck ....
