Simple docs work ok but where there's a table hidden all the formatting
goes out the window - best success to date has been pasting into MS Word

I have struggled with the same problem myself - there seems to be no
other way to get a decent print than to copy and paste the text from
IE into a word processor. It should take more than a few seconds, and
should format it as it pastes it in...

Select all and copy the web page from your web browser and paste it into
your word processor. This should create a document with graphic images
of the "Header" items (such as "Platform Supported", "Doc Reference",e
tc) and text for the article contents.
Remove, resize, or rearrange the "header" items to taste and you should
be able to print.
