Subject: imp is slow

Hi All,
I am having scenario where I have to truncate/drop the table and recreate the table again and import the transaction data for some.Imp is running very slow for few tables.
I am not sure where is the problem.Total dump size is 2GB but imp is taking more time for 3 tables only.
If any one can give some feedback that will be great help.
