I got the below message when i try to do a hotbackup on the control file.

alter database backup controlfile to '/oracle/backup/asdb/tbs/controlfile.bck'
ORA-1580 signalled during: alter database backup controlfile to '/oracle/back...



I check the net and found the below explanation... What is the error stack?

Cause: An operating system error occurred while attempting to create a control file backup.
