DBCA DOES NOT SEE MORE THAN 2047 MB OF PHYSICAL MEMORY, BUT 8 GB IS AVAILABLE

Hi there!

Environment: Oracle 10g 10.0.2.0, Windows 2003 Server

I am trying to create a General Purpose database using Oracle Database
Configuration assistant. On the step 10 out of 12, Installation Parameters
screen, the following message is displayed: "Typical - Allocate memory as
percentage of total physical memory (2047 MB)", however the total physical
memory on this server is 7.93 GB. I certainly want to use most of it, way
beyond 2047MB. If I choose Custom and input higher than 2047MB numbers, will

DBCA allow to create the database or fail?

Thanks for help, Mike.
