Oracle client 10.2 is not supported databases under 8.1.7.4
try to connect with sqlplus from your 10.2 installation to the 8.1.7 database and see if it works

For all the ORA-600 errors I suppose metalink is the only site that can
support. For rest you have lazy DBAS to help you out.

Hi,



I've a pl/sql procedure running in a 10Gr2 database that does a insert
from a select in a 8.1.7 through a database link. I'm hitting the
following ora-600



ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [ttcgcshnd-1], [0],[],[],[]



At first i thought it was something related to some nls parameter since
there is an entry in metalink about jdbc bug related to nls stuff.



I've changed the 2 db to the same nls parameters with no success.



The Oracle solution is to apply patch 4 at the 8.1.7 db. I will apply
the patch but i've tested in another system the same scenario with no
problem.



Anyone as any idea about this?
