You might have created local indexes on partition table so as a result
when you drop the partition then at that time the local indexes on the
partition table gets unusable and the only option left is to drop and
then recreate that index.

I have a table which is partitioned based on period, the indexes are
partitioned too but the status of them is unusable. Would you please
