I'm not feeling very clever these days (too many extra hours..) so
perhaps I should verify.. Are you saying that my stored procedure must
be changed as per your test_ext_call, so that it references the c++
function and library?

I thought Debra would be clever enough to call the test_ext_call
procedure (whatever name she has in her case) to execute the procedure.

Steve, I think you missed the point. You explained how to install a C++

stored procedure. The question was how to call an existing stored
procedure _from_ C++.
