Hello All,

I have edited the boot.ini to include /PAE /3GB and increased the
sga_max_size parameter to about 2.8 GB (Actual SGA params [shared_pool,
large_pool, java_pool = arround 2.7 GB total). When I start the
database, memory is allocated from the page file (not the physical
memory which has been increased to 12 GB from 4 GB).

Can anyone tell me why Oracle is not allocating physical memory?

Oracle 9.2.0.7 Enterprise
Windowns 2003 Server Enterprise
