RE: Corruption in redo log

RE: Corruption in redo log

What version of Oracle ?

Do you also have an ora-00354 ?

Do you have this ora-334 on ALL members of the log group ?

How come you don't have a backup ? I take it the database is not all
that important then (it also being in noarchivelog mode)..?

Give us the exact error messages

Hans

Subject: Corruption in redo log

Hi guys,

My database won't open, because of the following errors:

ORA-00355,ORA-0353,ORA-00334 indicating a corruption in a redo log file
(database is noarchivelog mode).

Suspect there may be hardware problem.

How can I get the database back up? (I am presuming that I will first
need to cold copy onto another machine and fix the hardware problem
first)

No, I don't have a back up.

Regards

Andy
