Hi All,



I am getting a slightly different error from the one listed for
ORA-01565:



CREATE CONTROLFILE SET DATABASE "FBW" RESETLOGS NOARCHIVELOG

ERROR at line 1:

ORA-01503: CREATE CONTROLFILE failed

ORA-01565: error in identifying file '?/dbs/[Email Address Removed] unable to obtain file status

IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 2: No such file or directory

Additional information: 3



I am doing a SID rename and normally this works.....there is nothing in
the alert log to direct me to the file it can't find, and I cannot find
anything in the init<SID>.ora file that looks remotely like [Email Address Removed]

The block size is the same for all our systems....not been a problem
before.



Any help/suggestions gratefully received.
