Subject: URGENT -apply archive log on a database after being renamed- !!
Hi dba's
I've renamed a database from a backup off 06-07-2006.
1- startup nomount (new name)
2- create a control file (new name) [database is mounted]
Is there any way to apply the archive log of the source database in
order to have the new database on the state of 10-07-2006. [I'm
wondering if I could apply recover database until time .... ] But the
problem is:
-the archive-logs are from a database that has another name!!!
Plz Plz help.
