RE: In Middle Of Rebuilding Index

If you have the time and it won't affect the users ... drop and recreate
the indexes and regenerate statistics.

If you cancel using rebuild the original index will still be there.

Subject: In Middle Of Rebuilding Index

Hi Gurus,

I have tables with 10mil of records. I wish to rebuild the indexes for
these tables. What do I do? Do I REBUILD the indexes or DROP and
CREATE the indexes? Which one performs better for tables with millions
of records? I am not too sure. And what would happen to the original
index if I cancel the REBUILD statement? Will it still be there or
dissappeared and need to recreate?

Your inputs are much appreciated. Thank you.
