Hi all,

Am trying to connect to a db via a VPN connection and am getting ORA-12154:
TNS:could not resolve service name errors.

Tried to ping, tnsping etc and all time out, so have thrown to networks /
firewalls to take a look. VPN connection is fine though.

Seemed the most logical thing to do to me, but sometimes I get surprised
with what eventually works out to be the prob. Has anyone else ever
encountered the above? and was it just a firewall prob or something? or was
it something completely different?
