RE: Hot backup query

RE: Hot backup query

Not at all, but it will affect the backup you so rightly cancelled. It
would have been inconsistent. The database should be very fine.

By the way, how are you doing this Hot Backup and what version of Oracle
are you on??

Subject: Hot backup query

Hi All,
While taking hot backup, I noticed that the tablespaces (or datafiles)
were not in backup mode. I immediately canceled the backup.
Will it affect my original database? Since I tried to copy the datafiles

when database was open and the datafiles ( or tablespaces ) were not in
backup mode.

Thanks in advance.

Nitin
