RE: export / import issues

RE: export / import issues

I did that but I did it table by table and used DTS for the
transformations. I extracted the DDL for the tables from Oracle and
modified the datatypes as necessary for the SQL definition. Tables
without dates were run through a simple copy column DTS package. Tables
with dates needed ActiveX transformation to handle the default date and
convert it to an SQL default. There were perhaps a 100 tables but it did
not take that long to work up. The same method also worked for AS400 DB2
to SQL.

You could also export to a delimited file and bcp the data in.

Subject: export / import issues

Hi everyone.

I am having some difficulties with exporting and importing a database.

I would like to export the QA instance on UNIX and import it on the

DEV instance on windows.

DB size on QA is around 30GB.

Can any one help me through this?
