RE: Connection ERROR

RE: Connection ERROR

Hi Frank. This means that your tnsnames.ora or sqlnet.ora files don't
agree with the service name you specified in your ODBC connection.

For example, if you have a tnsnames.ora file which starts:

PRODUCTION = (.........)

And your ODBC Data Source shows PROD as a name of the database name, you
will get this error.

Subject: Connection ERROR

Hi all,

Any tips for the following error?

==================
An error has occurred during report processing.
Cannot create a connection to data source 'PROD'.
ERROR [S1000] [Oracle][ODBC Oracle Driver][Oracle OCI]ORA-12154:
TNS:could not resolve service name. ERROR [IM006] [Microsoft][ODBC
Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed ERROR [01000]
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The driver doesn't support the version
of ODBC behavior that the application requested (see SQLSetEnvAttr).
==================

Thanks,

Frank
