I've seen a bunch on the silent installs, apparently Oracle is using a
response file on the CD. I didn't set up the software on this machine
and havn't installed Grid yet.

My problem is understanding how to get around this error just following
the instructions. I see a lot on how to set up and do silent installs
but none address this error.

Funny, in September, someone left this exact question on an Oracle
forum, and I saw no answer.

information about the -nowelcome flag in Chapter 3 -- Silent Install
Using Response Files.

I am on page 1-12 of the Grid control Installation and Basic
Configuration Guide (B16228-04).

There really isn't that many. The prereqchecker is an option to the
installer and requires the LOCATION and other options. I removed the
-silent and -waitForCompletion options to no avail.

-silent -waitForCompletion

I get the following response:
The specified command line has invalid arguments : The command line
arguments '-nowelcome' are not valid options. Type 'prereqchecker -help'
at the command line for instructions on appropriate command line
usage..Please use -help option for displaying correct usage.

Anyone know how to get around this?
