RE: Linux SGA

Do you get an ORA-xxx error number when you attempt to start the database
with a large SGA?

Subject: Linux SGA

Hello,
Oracle talks about linux so much but I find it's documents for
installation are insufficient. I faced lot of problems
In making 9i RAC on RHEL redhat 4 update 4. finally it's up and running.
But the next problem I am facing is the memory
Part. I have 8gb ram on both servers!. And I cannot allocate or use
memory more 1.5 gb.
Can some one give me advice on how to make settings on RHEL 4 to use
large SGAs .

Thank you
Abdul
