RE: online-hotbackup

RE: online-hotbackup

I'd guess that the reason is a simple one ... in that Oracle is having to
deal with many more changes in the REDO t/s whilst its backing up than the
other "data" tablespaces.

Subject: online-hotbackup

Sir

We are running hotbackup using

Alter tablespace <tablespace name> begin backup ;
Alter tablespace <tablespace name> end backup ;

method

while copying undo tablespace during hotbackup in Oracle 9i, it is taking
more time compare to other tablespace of equal size.

what could be the reason, please give the feed-back for the above issue

Shabbir
