Hi,

Can you please help me with this query? I am trying to fetch the results
based on the date and timestamp, and checking for less than condition.
But query results in equal to also. Let me know where is the problem
with this query.

SELECT e.release_date,rev_number --into max_release_date
FROM table1 a, table2 e
WHERE a.item = '382035497'
AND e.item(+) = a.component
AND a.ID ='382035528'
AND e.rev_number IS NOT NULL
AND ((TO_date (e.release_date, 'DD/MM/RRRR HH24:MI:SS') >=
TO_date ('29/08/2001 21:42:30', 'DD/MM/RRRR HH24:MI:SS'))

AND (TO_date (e.release_date, 'DD/MM/RRRR HH24:MI:SS') <
TO_date('02/10/2001 21:19:38', 'DD/MM/RRRR HH24:MI:SS')));

Query results are:

e.release_date rev_number
--
10/2/2001 8:14:44 PM 10
10/2/2001 9:19:38 PM 10A

Actually I am expecting only one row

e.release_date rev_number
--
10/2/2001 8:14:44 PM 10
