Move data files between OS versions

Move data files between OS versions

I have 2 environments; both Windows Server 2003 running 9i (prod and
test) - all 32 bit.

Because of issue exporting extremely large table I move the physical
data/control/redo files to replicate prod to test. This works like a
champ - move files, perform alter and I'm up and running.

Now, I've be given a Windows XP Pro x64 version machine and have copies
of oracle 9i and 10g-win64.

Questions;

1. can I move files as before to this new x64bit machine with 9i? (I've
started this process today...takes about 4 hours to move files due to
total size > 200GB - but, will it work when I get to that point.)
2. is there an incompatibility issue between oracle files in 32bit vs.
64bit environment within same release of oracle (9i)?
3. can I perform the move between 32bit 9i and 64bit 10g and have same
success as above?

Thanks in advance for any feedback / experience.
