Growth of FMX when recompiling under 10g

Growth of FMX when recompiling under 10g

To anyone who might know,

When converting and recompiling from 9i Forms and 9i Reports to 10g I
noticed that the size of the source (in some cases) was growing by 3 times
their original size. This is also true for the created FMX and REP that is
generated. Did Oracle change how the compiler loads called routines? Is
there anyway to direct the compiler to exclude new features from the
compile if they are not going to be used or does Oracle just assume that
all called routines are to be loaded even if they are not going to be used?

I have noticed that a form could be recompile today with minimal
modifications and the sized might grow by 80k but if that form is
recompiled next week the size might shrink by 50k. Any ideas?

Thanks You,
