One other item. You will need to take a close look at the optimizer
settings. Two settings we had to add to our init.ora (after upgrade to
9i, and had to leave them after upgade to 10.2.0.2):
Optimizer_features_enable='8.1.7.4'
Optimizer_index_cost_adj=30
