I got very usefull information from www.idevelopment.info. Regarding
the rman. I would like to ask you how the archice logs should be
managed. Shall delete the archive logs after the backup database plus
archivelog delete input command ?

Go to www.idevelopment.info/ click on oracle in the left hand column.
Jeff Hunter has several topics and there are 2 for rman, 9i and 10g. I
found these a very useful place to start.....
