RE: oracle cpu Jan 2007

Ankit,

I am not sure about UNIX as you did not say which flavour of UNIX you
have but I guess it would be similar to the Windows 2003 certifications
below.

Oracle 9.2 on Windows 2003 is certified as follows:

1. Must be at least patched to 9.2.0.7.0.
2. 9.2 Premium support expires July 2007, Extended support expires
July 2010

For information:

3. 10.1 Premium support expires January 2009, Extended support expires
January 2012
3. 10.2 Premium support expires July 2010, Extended support expires
July 2013

So, to answer your question you can patch to 9.2.0.7 and still be
supported. We use 9.2.0.7 for all our 9i instances (historical support
for 3rd party applications not yet 10g certified) as it seems to be the
most stable and we have not encountered any problems that would prompt
us to upgrade to 9.2.0.8.

Regards

Garnet

Hi all,
For cpu Jan 2007.Oracle has desupported 9.2.0.6 version on unix and
windows ??
For applying the patches do we need to upgrade the server to 9.2.0.7 or
9.2.0.8 ??

Ankit
