Well, well, wee!
It's Castelletti Paolo! Hee. How have you been? Don't do that! What
you should do is: create new LOCALLY MANAGED TABLESPACES AND THEN
MIGRATE ALL OF YOUR TABLES to the new tablespaces using the ALTER TABLE
command.
ALTER TABLE emp MOVE tablespace TBSP_NEW;

Subject: performance issues with TABLESPACE_MIGRATE_TO_LOCAL ?
Hi,
does anyone knows if there are performance issues using
DBMS_SPACE_ADMIN.TABLESPACE_MIGRATE_TO_LOCAL ?
I need to move the TS of a migrated DB to locally managed and I have a
doubt about using DBMS_SPACE_ADMIN.TABLESPACE_MIGRATE_TO_LOCAL or
creating a brand new locally managed TS and move the objects there...
What I would like to know is if there are differences in terms of
performance between a tablespace born locally managed and a TS migrated
from dictionary managed to locally managed.
Thanks,
Paolo Castelletti
