Hi Experts,

I am trying to shutdown my database. I typed shutdown immediate at the sql prompt. It is more than 30 minutes, it has not shut down as yet. What should I do. Shutdown abort?

This is a Unix platform, Oracle 9i, standard edition.

Please help.
