RE: oracle developer and DBA's

A good DBA should know how to use SQL, PL/SQL, Java (a little), create
simple procedures, functions, packages, triggers, etc. You don't have
to be a developer("Oh my! Phew!), but knowing something about what I
mentioned in my first sentence helps when it comes to debugging, tuning,
self confidence, vast knowledge, etc. The more you learn, the better
you become! You can't go wrong! Go for it!

Have a great Day!

Subject: oracle developer and DBA's

Hi,

I have joined a mobile company and working there as an oracle DBA
for the last 5 months. I don't have any oracle developer
(sql, procedure, package, triggers) experience. Will it create any problem
working as a DBA? Does it necessary to have experience in oracle
development when working as a DBA?

Please help me in this topic.

Regards

Asif Rahmanul Kabir

Assistant IT Specialist (DBA)
