Hehehe
You can do it, I did.
It's better if there are other DBA's around, and you can look at their
code. It also depends on whether your company develops. If they do,
you can look at theirs and learn, if they don't you probably can get
away without it and pick up all the other things. Use Enterprise
Manager Grid Control, RMAN, and install and deinstall stuff. Do some
korn-shell scripting maybe.
If you are by yourself, just putting DBA on your resume may get you an
apprentice position with a team of DBA's somewhere, and away you go.
The hardest part is getting the 'experience' to get hired.
You can get away with a lot, but don't try and get away with backup and
restore. You hardly ever need it, but it really is why you are there.

Subject: oracle developer and DBA's
Hi,
I have joined a mobile company and working there as an oracle DBA
for the last 5 months. I don't have any oracle developer
(sql, procedure, package, triggers) experience. Will it create any problem
working as a DBA? Does it necessary to have experience in oracle
development when working as a DBA?
Please help me in this topic.
Regards
