It's true... but I think what she was going for was, once the 'new role'
was created, how to make it available (I think).
BTW - the way to do that is to just grant the role to the user...

Thanks for adding that Mark, because I think it's 'object definition'
that is the most difficult thing about Oracle. After you get that down,
you kick back, get good back ups, and drink lots of coffee, and ride
your developers to meet their deadlines!!!

"Private synonyms for a role?" No, synonyms can be created for: tables,
views, procedures, packages and functions, and maybe for types, and some
of the other newer objects in Oracle, but you cannot creates synonyms
for: users, roles or schemas.
