Re: utl file dir question

Re: utl file dir question

In 10g utl_file = /oracle/utl/write
in other words no trailing slash for the last directory

Gurues,

there is a file system (mount point) which I am not being able to
writ
to from within my Oracle 9i Solaris system. The directory is owned by
jboss and oracle has been added this jboss so that when I logon as
oracle at OS level and touch a file it is created with oracle as the
user but jboss as the group.

therefore the privs setting is 2775 meaning uid is set.

Now from within a stored procedure I am not being able to write to the
directory on which note the utl_file_directories are not being
terminated by a "/" and I can not remember if this is correct or not.

Your advise is appreciated.

Luis Cardenas
