Hi all,
Is it necessary to have 4 log groups with 2 log members in each group for
a database of size 4G in a RAC environment or can we reduce it to 3 groups
Is if sufficient to have a log file of size 100MB.
Please suggest.
Thanks.
Kind regards,
Raj

distributing the redo logs between the filesystems definitely have good
results. Increase the size if you have more transaction may be to 150M an
also increase the log groups to 5 - 6. But placing them on a different
filesystem other than your dbf files and system tbs will have good
results.
