This isn't an issue.
Stick whichever version of Oracle takes your fancy on to your client
Set up the tnsnames / listeners and away you go.
We have DB's on HPUX, Solaris and Linux all of which can be accessed via
windows clients.

I get the feeling I have wrongly worded my problem, But got some
pointers on issues I never knew existed!!!
Let me rephrase my question which I originally had in mind:
I have Oracle 10G Database running on Linux ( Suse 10 to be precise ).
I want to install a client on Windows ( Windows XP to be precise ) .
Which client do I need to install on windows , I suppose client that
installs on a Windows environment ( silly me )....
But I was wondering whether accessing an oracle server on Linux
environment will have any problems.
Any suggestions or views gladly accepted.

I have 10.2.0.2, 9.2.0.8, and one 8.1.4.7 databases. I connect with
either my 10.2.0.1 client or my 9.2.0 client. Usually I use my 10.2.0.1
client. No problems.
