Okay experts, could use some help on this one.

Recently migrated system (Win2000) from physical to virtual (VMWare).

No other changes to environment.

Now, routines hang for no apparent reason - get database availability
errors.

Check database and it's hung, archive logs aren't switching, nothing in
the alert log, system manager says oracle is open, but it's not
accessible, perform shutdown immediate and it takes 20-30 mins sometimes
(was almost immediate in the physical environ.)

Have to stop database and reboot OS before can get database accessible
again.

Any feedback / suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
