Ignore my dumb question-DBUA disables archiving as part of the upgrade
process.
Sorry

Subject: turn off archiving before running DBUA to upgrade 8i to 10G?
Hello dbas,
I am going to be using DBUA to upgrade an 8i database to 10G on a HP 11.11
box. When I ran this in development the 8i database was not in archiving
mode. The production 8i database IS in archiving mode of course. Should I
first turn OFF archiving before I start DBUA on production? The DBUA guide
does not mention anything about that.
Thanks, Will
