Thanks Ed! 2000 isn't high enough for us (not even 4000 is high enough).
I need to know if there is a reason why it couldn't be set to 32767 i.e.
will the server take it if set to 32767? We're planning to add other
databases on this server and 8192 may not be enough then.

Subject: Semaphore settings
Hi All,
We're starting a new database but the server is complaining about the
semaphore settings. The current setting for semmns is 4000. Are there
any limits as to what this can be increased to? Can it be increased to
32767 (like semvmx)?
Thanks.
Cecile
