I have implemented dataguard replication on Oracle 10g R2, my primary
Database is Oracle 10g R2 RAC. I’m using Physical Standby Database.
This morning I got an error message, which is related to
db_recovery_file_dest_size is been full.
I had to increase the size of the db_recovery_file_dest_size to ensure
successful log transport from the primary to the stand by.
My questions are
1. When the primary database transfers the archive logs through the RFS,
are those archive logs kept in the db_recovery_file_dest_size directory in
the Stand by Database.

2. Can I delete the archive logs from the standby and the primary, after
I issue alter system switch logfile, in the primary database and make sure
the latest archive file is transferred successful y to the stand by.
